Online Birth Assistant Program:

Additional Professional Requirements:
To fully prepare for practice, students should budget an additional $250–$350 for professional equipment (e.g., Doppler, blood pressure cuff), clinical supplies, and required CPR and NRP certifications if not already certified.*

Flexible Financing via Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL):
For those who prefer smaller installments while securing the Pay-In-Full Savings, we offer third-party financing through Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna, and PayPal Pay Later.

REFUNDS, TERMINATION, AND ACCOUNT DELETION POLICY
Enrolling in the Black Sisters Birth Academy® is non-refundable. All payments or fees made to Black Sisters Birth Academy® are non-refundable. Due to the nature of the program, refunds will not be issued under any circumstances. Should you choose to terminate the program for any reason, you will remain responsible for the entire balance of the program once you enroll.
Upon termination, your access to all program materials and your student account will be permanently deleted. This action is irreversible, and all associated data, progress, and certificates within the program will be removed. It is your responsibility to download any necessary materials before termination.
A request to cancel or withdraw from Black Sisters Birth Academy® will be granted upon formal email submission of the request to support@blacksistersbirth.com.
EXTERNAL CERTIFICATION POLICY
Students are required to maintain all external certifications in good standing for the entire duration of the program. If a student certification expires or is revoked, they must notify the academy immediately and provide proof of renewal or reinstatement. Failure to maintain external certifications required for participation in this program will result in termination from the program.
PROGRAM EXTENSION, TERMINATION, AND ACCOUNT DELETION POLICY
You may request a program extension at any time within six (6) months from your enrollment date at Black Sisters Birth Academy®. To extend your program for an additional three (3) months beyond its original expiration date, please submit a written request to support@blacksistersbirth.com. A Program Extension Fee of $300 USD will apply.
Each student is permitted a maximum of one (1) program extension. It is your responsibility to request and pay for any extension before your program access expires. A 7-day grace period will apply for students who fail to apply for a program extension before their program expires. After this 7-day grace period has expired, failure to extend your program when necessary will result in the termination of your enrollment at Black Sisters Birth Academy®. Students whose enrollment is terminated due to program expiration will be required to reapply and pay the full program fee.
Upon termination, your access to all program materials and your student account will be permanently deleted. This action is irreversible, and all associated data, progress, and certificates within the program will be removed. It is your responsibility to complete any outstanding modules, assignments, quizzes, exams, clinical experience and/or paperwork, or scheduled training (if applicable), and to download any necessary materials before your program expiration date.
RECORD RETENTION AND ALUMNEA POLICY:
1. Duration of Record Retention
Black Sisters Birth Academy® maintains digital records of program completion, including student names, completion dates, and certificate copies, for a period of five (5) years from the date of graduation. After this period, records may be permanently deleted.
2. Access to Records

Active Students: Students have 30 days post-graduation to download their digital credentials at no cost.

Alumnae (Within 5 Years): Requests for certificate replacements or transcript verification are subject to a $15 USD Administrative Search Fee.

Legacy Alumnae (Post-5 Years): Records are scheduled for permanent deletion five years after program completion. Black Sisters Birth Academy® does not guarantee record availability beyond this window, and no requests will be processed for sessions exceeding this timeframe.
3. Data Privacy & Security
Student data is stored on secure, encrypted servers. We do not sell student information to third parties. For more details, please view our Privacy Policy.
4. Endorsement Eligibility
Letters of recommendation and professional endorsements are a courtesy, not a guaranteed service.

Eligibility: Only students of the Hybrid/In-Person program are eligible for letters of recommendation due to the necessity of evaluating clinical and interpersonal skills.

Limitations: Requests must be made within three (3) years of graduation to ensure the instructor’s assessment remains current and relevant.
